10 days ago I went to Noosa. Before I came here I expected, that Noosa has a nice beach and that I'm going to meet lots of interesing, friendly and funny people at the language school. I was also excited of my the family in which I have to live for three months.
The first day I was here, lots of things were a bit strange for me. For example the lifestyle of the hostfamily which is very different from the one of my family at home. They're always having dinner in front of the TV and don't sit around a table. And I amaze about their toilet, there isn't something to wash the hands! But all these things are not dramatic and can live with this circumstances.
Last Monday I went to the Global Village to do the entering test. I was informed, that there will be some Swiss people. My contact person, which has booked the accomotation and school for me told me that Noosa has about 30% Swiss students. But I was shocked when I entered the classroom!! Everybody was from Switzerland and also everybody is not allowed to talk any words in Swiss German :-) But I think it's the best way to learn English when we try to talk in English as most as possible.
Last week was a short week in school... because the Australians also celebrate easter and get holiday at these days. That's the reason why I really enjoyed my first weekend here in Noosa. I often went to the beach with my classmates, walked around the village to do some shopping and went to the Koala Bar for having some beers or drinks.
I really like the main beach, beacause the waves aren't as high as the one's at Sunrise or Castaways Beach. And the wather of the ocean is quite clear.
My impression about the local people is, that they are really open-minded. Lots of foreinge people from here are talking to one's at the bars or restaurants. The most of them are more relaxed than the people in Switzerland!! They don't care about little things, and I think they are really enjoying their live.
So I think it's going to be a interesting and funny time in Noosa which I'll never forget.
